$5 Dinner Challenge - - Chicken Puffs

Chicken Puffs.
1 skinless, boneless chicken breast boiled and cubed ($1.25)
1/2 chopped onion ($.34)
1 tablespoon garlic powder ($.11)
1 tablespoon chives ($. 05)
1/4 (8 ounce) package cream cheese ($0.25)
1/2 a tomato, chopped ($.34)
1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough ($1.66)

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, slowly cook and stir skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, onion and garlic. Cook until onions are tender and chicken is warmed through.
In a medium bowl, blend chicken mixture, cream cheese, tomato, and chives until creamy.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Unroll crescent. Place approximately one tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto each crescent. Fold into balls. Don't worry too much about the appearance. When they bake they will rise and combine together.
Arrange balls on a large baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

$4.00 for the cheese puffs. I add to these 1 can of slices carrots and 1 can of sweet peas for $.48 a can. That makes the total $4.98.
